I am learning about this new use of the web for social networking and would appreciate learning from you what you see as differences between Tribe.net and Yahoo Groups? Other than connecting Friends, which I do not see as having a lot of functionality, I do not see a difference.

I think Yahoo is easier. More of my friends are on it. I like the emails. Now tribe will send me emails. That's cool.
